To cover the most basic needs of socially excluded families in the neighborhood of Pozo del Tio Raimundo and promote their work inclusion.
The project is located in the district of Pozo del Tio Raimundo, belonging to the district of Puente de Vallecas in Madrid (Spain).
- 247 families attend workshops and career counseling.
- 247 families receive a weekly support of basic food.
- Direct: 247 families, which include approximately 980 people.
In the neighborhood of Pozo del Tio Raimundo, located in the district of Puente de Vallecas, the Foundation has supported this project since 2009 that has being carried out by the Asha Shanti Foundation. A basket of basic food and sometimes clothing and educational materials is delivered to 170 families without resources. Based on a comprehensive approach, the conditions of obtaining the food basket is participating in a career guidance workshops and training that is given in the Civic Center and other entities in the neighborhood.
The project supports people who are unemployed and / or at risk of social exclusion in one of the most socially disadvantaged areas of the city of Madrid- the district of Pozo del Tio Raimundo, in the district of Puente de Vallecas.
Thus, the purpose of the project is to achieve full social and labor integration of participants while covering their basic needs in terms of food. Minimal attention to these families guarantees their welfare and good conditions for them to be able to look for an opportunity that allows them to leave the situation of risk of social exclusion.
