Welcome and facilitate access to education to street children, covering their basic needs and giving them scholarships.
Chunabati (Kolkatta, India)
Since 2006 Asha Shanti Foundation has been working in the Home of Hope in Chunabati (Kolkatta, India), with the aim of welcome street children, to cover their basic needs and to let them have access to education. Along this years, the minors have been growing up and becoming adults, finishing their studies and acceding to labor market in jobs that promote their independence and economic sustainability.
The Hope and Joy Foundation monitor the project and is currently searching for economic finance, with the Asha Shanti Foundation to continue helping the students with their studies giving them scholarships, and to start a Communitarian Development Project in the neighborhood, a slum called Bakara, in the edge of Howrak.
