The existence of HIV epidemic is highly heterogeneous in the long run of the country and is concentrated in large amounts among very few states, in which Tamil Nadu is included. Tirunelveli is a rural town located in Tamil Nadu, the main problem is the fight against HIV, the situation is extreme poverty that the majority of the population lives in and they are primarily dedicated to agriculture.

To attend all the people affected by the virus, 8km from Tirunelveli Sneha Jyothi center was created where without any type of discrimination some patients receive medical care, physical and moral through a team of medics and qualified personnel.

Parallel and integrated in this center the home Thozhamai Illam since 2009 welcomes minors who are infected or whose parents died as a result of the virus and have been orphaned. In the home aside from giving the basic care in order to coexist with their illness, minors receive education in order to be integrating into state school and provide them with the hope of a future.

The center has been maintained thanks to the help from the government and other entities. Nevertheless, the reduction of help and the need to find new funds that allow for the maintenance of its activities guided by the brother of the Sacred Heart of Jesus demonstrate the need to find to initiatives with the ends of reaching sustainability in the center and its future independence.

The implementation of a new printer that utilizes different local materials for ornament making, greeting cards, notebooks and book among other objects for the creation of a revolving farming fund, guaranteeing sustainability will ensure the rights of food, health and education for the 40 minors in the Thozhamai Illam home and the 200 adults that benefit from the Sneha Jyothi center allowing them to find a way to social inclusion and are the authors of their own lives through their training in various skills.
